What's The Next Number Plate After "12" From September 2012?

So your wondering what the next number plates will be after the "12" plates that started from 1 March 2012?

The current number plate system was introduced in the UK on 1 September 2001 and will operate until 28 February 2051.

It started with "51" number plates like AA51 AAA Number Plate in Year 2001  in 2001 and will end in 2051 with "00" number plates like AA00 AAA Number Plate Year 2051

A new system will then need to be introduced from 2052.

New Number Plates from 1 September 2012 Will be Number "62"

So from 1 September 2012 to 28 February 2013 new number plates will look something like...

AA12 AAA Numbers from 1 September 2012

Number Plates from 1 March 2013 Will be "13" increasing by 1 each year

So from 1 March 2013 to 31 August 2013 will look like

AA62 AAA number plates from 1 March 2013

From March 2013 will be "AA13" for example and so on until 31 August 2051

From September 2013 will be AA63 for example and so on increasing by 1 each year until February 2052 which will be "00".
