Information about the M60 Motorway

The M60 motorway is 35 miles (56 km) is a circular ring road around Greater Manchester in the North West of England. The M60 is one of Britain's busiest motorways.

Stockport, Junctions 1 and 27, is on the east side of the ring road motorway, Junctions 3/4 and 5 link to the M56 which heads south west toward North Wales, Junction 12 joins the M62 heading west to Liverpool, Junction 14/15 link to the M61 heading north west to the M6 past Chorley, Junction 18 joins the M66 heading north towards the M56. 

Primary destinations are Manchester, Trafford, Salford, Bury, Rochdale, Oldham, Tameside. 

The M60 was formed between between 1960 and 2000 and parts of the M60 were originally part of the M62, M63 and M66.
