About the M62 Motorway

The M62 motorway is 107 miles (172 km) long and runs East North Cave, Kingston Upon Hull) straight across Northern England to the West Knotty Ash, Liverpool.

7 miles of the motorway are part of the M60 motorway which circulates Greater Manchester.

The M62 connects to the M60 at it's Junction 10 which is a major motorway junction.

The M62 also links to the M60 at junction 12 and junction 18.

Ant the M62 links the M1 at junction 29

Plus links the A1(M) at junction 32a of the M62.

Primary City destinations are Liverpool, Salford, Manchester, Bradford, Leeds, Wakefield, and Hull.

The M62 runs through the counties of Merseyside, Cheshire, Greater Manchester, West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, East Riding of Yorkshire.

The M62 was formed between between 1960 and 1976.

The first UK road to be built to motorway standard was the Preston Bypass which later became part of the M6. 50 MPH Warning Sign
