I have been using Google Maps as talking Sat Nav on my Samsung Galaxy S4 mobile.

I have found the instructions come a bit late especially at roundabouts so can be a bit tricky to not go down the wrong exist at times but overall a handy mobile app.

Some of the road pronunciations are a bit odd but that adds some amusement to using Google Maps as a talking sat nav.

I have a reasonable data allowance in my monthly plan but was concerned using Google Maps as sat Nav might have a big impact on my data allowance but using it for two long journeys last week (and other journeys this month) have only used 114 kb of data so a very small impact in my experience.

Pretty handy as always on my phone to always with me.

I don't think it is anything like as good as TOM TOM, Garmin Sat Navs etc but as a free tool on my mobile to stop me getting lost or get to to where I need to get to it has so far been very helpful.

Any hints and tips on ow to get the best our of Google Maps as talking sat nav anyone?
